On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Al-Mustaqbal University organized the First Legal Forum on Combating Human Trafficking under the theme "Human Dignity is Supreme." This event was held in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The forum featured a panel discussion addressing the legal and institutional mechanisms for combating this crime, as well as strategies to enhance collaboration among various sectors to achieve social justice and protect vulnerable groups.
The event was attended by a distinguished group of professors, researchers, and students, along with representatives from governmental institutions and human rights organizations. Discussions and interventions during the forum highlighted the legal and social aspects of human trafficking, emphasizing the need to intensify academic and institutional efforts to combat this issue in line with the principles of sustainability and comprehensive development.
