Al-Mustaqbal University and SSTDC China Sign Strategic Partnership to Enhance Renewable Energy Solutions in Iraq

As part of promoting sustainable development goals, and under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the direct support of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, the university signed a strategic partnership agreement with SSTDC China – Iraq Branch, a leading company in renewable energy development.

The partnership aims to develop renewable energy solutions and foster innovation in this sector, with SSTDC being a global leader in the field. According to the agreement, a new branch of the company will be opened in Babil Governorate, contributing to providing an advanced research environment and offering practical educational and training opportunities for the university's students, thus supporting quality education and achieving sustainability goals.

The Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies emphasized the importance of this partnership in supporting sustainable development by promoting the use of solar energy as an alternative to traditional energy sources, benefiting the local community in Babil and Iraq as a whole. He also highlighted the role of the agreement in enhancing scientific research and developing innovative solutions that contribute to achieving environmental sustainability and improving the efficiency of natural resource use.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research, marking an important step towards building strategic partnerships with global institutions to support innovation and enhance the university's ability to offer sustainable energy solutions.

Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its ongoing commitment to advancing scientific research and building bridges of cooperation with major global companies to achieve sustainable development goals for the benefit of the local and international community.
