Professor Dr Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, accompanied by Assistant President for Scientific Affairs Assistant Professor Dr Abbas Al-Bawi and the accompanying delegation, attended the ministerial meeting held on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, to discuss admission mechanisms for private universities and colleges.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr Haider Abdul Dahad, Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, with the participation of Directors General at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as presidents of private universities and colleges and directors of their registration departments.
The meeting addressed the approved admission procedures and the organisational and technical aspects related to application and registration processes. It also reviewed the requirements governing the work of private universities and colleges in accordance with the applicable ministerial regulations and instructions.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss a number of questions and observations concerning admission procedures and their implementation. Relevant technical and organisational matters were clarified, contributing to greater consistency in the approved procedures and the standardisation of work practices across private higher education institutions.
Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation in the meeting reflects its commitment to following the latest regulatory developments and ministerial instructions, strengthening institutional coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and supporting clear and well-organised admission procedures that serve students and contribute to the advancement of academic and administrative practices.
