As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to expand its network of academic and scientific partnerships and strengthen its presence within the higher education cooperation landscape, and under the direction of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr Hassan Shaker Majdi, a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University visited the American University of Baghdad in response to an official invitation. The visit aimed to explore prospects for joint cooperation and establish new pathways for a sustainable academic and scientific partnership between the two institutions.
The delegation was headed by Professor Dr Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, and included a number of directors of departments and centers at the University Presidency. The delegation was received by Mr Ziad Shaban, CEO of the Center of Excellence for Creativity and Development, Professor Dr Khalil Ibrahim Mahmoud, Consultant Expert, and a number of officials and academics.
During the meeting, Professor Dr Al-Zuhairi delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the academic and scientific development of Al-Mustaqbal University, its major milestones and achievements in scientific research, its national and international rankings, and its global academic partnerships. He also outlined the University’s future directions for advancing the educational and research environment and strengthening engagement with reputable academic institutions.
The American University of Baghdad, in turn, delivered an introductory presentation highlighting its vision, academic programmes, and educational experience. This was followed by an extensive discussion on areas of mutual interest, particularly in the academic, scientific, and research fields, with the aim of facilitating the exchange of expertise and knowledge and creating valuable opportunities for students, researchers, and academic staff.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain communication and joint coordination to further explore areas of cooperation and finalize the framework of the prospective partnership, paving the way for the implementation of joint programmes and initiatives that enhance academic and research integration and establish a sustainable partnership with a tangible impact on the advancement of education and scientific research and on serving the wider community.
