In line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to strengthening its scientific and academic presence at national and international forums, the University participated in the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day Conference, held as part of Iraq Technology Week 2026 at Baghdad International Fair, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and specialists in the fields of telecommunications, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.
Representing the University at the conference were Professor Dr. Nidhal Khudair Al-Abbadi, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center; Professor Dr. Wael Jabbar Abd, Director of the Continuing Education Center; Lecturer Dr. Musaddaq Maher Abdul Zahra, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Incubator; and Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Adnan Hadi, faculty member at the Artificial Intelligence Center.
The conference featured discussions on the latest developments in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the development of digital societies, in addition to exploring prospects for cooperation between academic institutions and the public and private sectors to support innovation and technological advancement in Iraq.
This participation reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to supporting scientific research, fostering innovation, and promoting digital transformation in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, through advancing technical and knowledge-based education; Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through supporting digital innovation and emerging technologies; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and various sectors to achieve sustainable development.
