Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and with the direct supervision and support of the Dean of the Technical Engineering College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, Al-Mustaqbal University organized the First Future Forum for Fuel and Energy on Monday, 13 April 2026. The event reflects the university’s commitment to advancing scientific research and keeping pace with developments in the fuel and energy sectors.
The forum was launched at the Energy Research Center under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul-Kadhim Fathi. The event included the opening of a participating companies exhibition, featuring key industrial stakeholders such as Afuq Al-Samaa Company and Khairat Al-Bahr Company, in addition to the participation of the Oil Research and Development Center التابعة لوزارة النفط, which added a strong applied and industrial dimension to the forum.
The program also included a scientific panel discussion with a group of experts and academics in the fields of oil, gas, and energy. The session addressed key challenges and future opportunities in the energy sector, with a focus on the transition toward clean and sustainable energy. The panel featured Dr. Ammar Ali Abdul, Dr. Rida Khudhair Al-Rubaie, and Prof. Dr. Alaa Dhari, and was moderated by Prof. Dr. Kazem Fanteel Al-Sultani from the University of Babylon.
The forum was attended by prominent figures from the energy and academic sectors, including representatives from international companies and national institutions, as well as academics from various Iraqi universities.
