Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a distinguished scientific and humanitarian event on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in observance of World Autism Awareness Day, under the theme “Together, We Understand Autism.” This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to promoting sustainability concepts and enhancing health and community awareness.
The College hosted the center of specialist Sura Haroun Rashid, with the participation of a group of children from the center. The event included a special visit for the children to the College, where they were warmly welcomed by faculty members and students. A number of recreational and interactive activities were organized to bring joy to the children and support their integration into the educational and social environment.
The event also featured a scientific lecture delivered by specialist Sura Haroun Rashid, addressing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), early diagnosis methods, and the latest approaches in rehabilitation and التعامل with affected children, emphasizing the importance of family and community support in improving their quality of life.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, affirmed that such initiatives reflect the College’s commitment to promoting health and humanitarian awareness among students, reinforcing social responsibility, and supporting and empowering individuals with special needs while facilitating their inclusion in society.
At the conclusion of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to specialist Sura Haroun Rashid and the center’s management in recognition of their outstanding efforts in caring for children and raising awareness about this important group within society.
