Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, Al-Mustaqbal University celebrated on Wednesday, 22/4/2026, the World Creativity and Innovation Day through a distinguished academic event that reflected the University’s commitment to fostering a culture of creativity and promoting an institutional innovation environment. The event was attended by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muthaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Dulaimi, along with a number of faculty members and students.
This event was organized under the direct supervision and joint coordination of the Deanship of the College of Administrative Sciences and the Science and Technology Parks Department at the University Presidency, as part of the University’s efforts to support innovative initiatives and develop a comprehensive innovation ecosystem within the academic environment.
In his speech during the event, Professor Dr. Muthaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi emphasized that World Creativity and Innovation Day represents an important milestone for fostering the spirit of initiative and advancing toward broader horizons of excellence. He noted that creativity has become a necessity imposed by the rapid changes of the modern era and a fundamental tool for shaping the future. He further highlighted that Al-Mustaqbal University adopts innovation as a firmly established strategic approach aimed at preparing graduates capable of creative thinking and competing in dynamic knowledge-based environments.
He also affirmed that the University continues to support innovators and embrace qualitative initiatives and promising projects, based on its belief that investing in human intellect is the most sustainable path toward building the future. He stressed the University’s commitment to empowering students and academic staff to transform their ideas into practical projects with tangible societal impact.
The event included a distinguished panel discussion entitled “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence,” moderated by Professor Dr. Dina Mohammed Raouf, with the participation of a number of specialists. The session addressed the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in supporting economic development, as well as the utilization of artificial intelligence technologies in advancing entrepreneurial projects, in alignment with the University’s vision of building an integrated knowledge ecosystem.
The discussion provided an interactive platform for exchanging expertise and perspectives on enhancing innovation and linking it to labor market needs, thereby contributing to the preparation of a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid technological transformations.
