Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and in line with the university’s orientation toward supporting innovation and promoting sustainable digital transformation, Al-Mustaqbal University continues its active scientific and innovative presence through its participation in and sponsorship of the National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications Championship (NURAI 2026). This national initiative aims to enable Iraqi university students to transform academic knowledge into applicable technological projects in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems.
This participation reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, supporting youth potential, and strengthening its role in national scientific competitions that contribute to preparing a generation capable of competing and excelling in modern technologies, in alignment with its vision of building an academically stimulating environment for innovation and applied research.
Al-Mustaqbal University recorded a distinguished presence on the official platform of the championship through wide participation of teams, supervisors, and students. Platform data indicated the registration of (22) teams from the university with (83) members, reflecting the strong academic and organizational engagement with this national event.
The university coordinators, Professor Dr. Mahdi Abadi Mani and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Kazim Mohammed Al-Gharawi, play a pivotal role in monitoring the participating teams through preliminary project evaluation, scientific and organizational review, and final assessment stages, ensuring high-quality representation that reflects the university’s academic standing.
The university emphasizes that its sponsorship of this championship goes beyond organizational support, representing a strategic vision that believes in embracing innovation, linking education with the labor market, and strengthening the integration between knowledge and practical application, thereby contributing to sustainable development.
