Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Department of Anesthesia Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies launched an environmental initiative on Tuesday, 31/03/2026 to clean the banks of the Al-Hilla River, in commemoration of World Water Day, as part of efforts to promote environmental awareness and foster a culture of volunteerism among students.
The campaign witnessed active participation from students of the department, under the supervision of Teaching Assistant, Zaid Joudat Al-Azzawi. The activities included removing waste and debris and improving the overall appearance of the riverbanks, contributing to the preservation of the aquatic environment and the reduction of pollution.
The initiative aims to highlight the importance of protecting water resources and strengthening social responsibility, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 “Clean Water and Sanitation” and Goal 13 “Climate Action.”
Through such activities, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its commitment to supporting environmental initiatives and enhancing its role in serving the community, contributing to sustainable development and the preservation of natural resources.
