Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, the Sustainable Development Division organized an awareness campaign across the university premises on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, aiming to instill a culture of tree planting and enhance environmental awareness among students, as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability.
The campaign included the distribution of educational materials emphasizing the importance of expanding green spaces, their role in improving the quality of the campus environment, mitigating the impacts of climate change, and promoting individual responsibility in conserving natural resources.
This initiative coincided with the National Tree Planting Day activities and is part of a series of environmental programs at the university, including a large-scale tree planting campaign, the launch of the hydroponics project, and the tissue culture laboratory, reflecting the university’s commitment to adopting innovative and sustainable agricultural solutions.
These efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 13, SDG 15, and SDG 11, reinforcing Al-Mustaqbal University’s role as a leading educational institution in supporting environmental sustainability initiatives.
This activity represents a key component of the university’s institutional approach to fostering environmental awareness and promoting sustainable practices within the academic community.
