Under the patronage of Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the College of Agricultural Technologies organized a specialized workshop titled “Chemical Safety in Scientific Laboratories” on Monday, March 9, 2026. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Mahdi Abdul-Kadhim, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Muthaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, faculty members, and students.
The workshop was held within the framework of the scientific cooperation memorandum with Al-Qasim Al-Khader University, with Professor Ihab Karim Obeid delivering lectures on chemical safety principles, safe handling of laboratory chemicals, and preventive measures to reduce risks and laboratory accidents.
The event emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of professional safety and chemical security to protect people, the environment, and property, while reinforcing sound scientific practices in educational and research laboratories.
This initiative reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
