Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new international academic milestone, adding to its growing record of success, by receiving the Excellence in Education Award from the International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE). This recognition comes in appreciation of the University’s institutional excellence, leadership in implementing quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, and its continuous development of higher education systems in line with the best international practices.
This international recognition reflects the advanced position the University has attained on the global academic stage and highlights its cumulative achievements in education, scientific research, and university administration. It also demonstrates its ongoing commitment to its strategic vision based on innovation, sustainability, and institutional excellence.
The QAHE is an independent international organization dedicated to promoting a culture of quality assurance and academic accreditation in education and training institutions worldwide. It evaluates institutional performance according to approved quality standards and grants accreditation and awards to outstanding institutions that demonstrate excellence.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, emphasized that this achievement represents an important milestone in the University’s journey toward global recognition. He noted that it reflects the significant efforts of the University community in consolidating a culture of quality and enhancing academic and institutional performance.
He further stated that the award represents international recognition of the University’s distinguished achievements in education, scientific research, and community service, affirming the University’s continued commitment to improving the learning environment, expanding scientific research, and strengthening academic partnerships and cooperation with international universities and institutions, thereby enhancing its regional and global standing.
This achievement comes as part of a series of successes accomplished by Al-Mustaqbal University in recent years, most notably its ranking among the leading private universities in Iraq in the national university ranking, as well as its growing presence in several reputable international rankings and indicators.
This recognition also reflects the University’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by ensuring high-quality higher education and fostering innovation in learning environments; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through supporting scientific research and development; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by expanding international academic cooperation and knowledge exchange.
