Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Al-Qadisiyah Sign a Scientific Twinning Agreement to Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijazi, a delegation from the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University signed, on Tuesday, 5/5/2026, a scientific twinning and joint cooperation agreement with the College of Dentistry at the University of Al-Qadisiyah. This step represents a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening academic partnership and advancing the educational and research pathways of both institutions.
This agreement reflects the commitment of both parties to elevating academic and scientific standards and keeping pace with modern developments in higher education. It encompasses multiple areas of cooperation, most notably curriculum development, exchange of academic expertise, organization of training workshops, as well as the implementation of joint research projects and publication in reputable scientific journals.
The agreement also includes the enhancement of student activities through academic exchange visits and joint events, in addition to cooperation in practical training and the utilization of specialized laboratories, contributing to the improvement of students’ competencies and the capabilities of academic staff, and fostering an integrated, innovation-driven learning environment.
This initiative aligns directly with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) through improving the quality and outcomes of higher education, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by supporting research and innovation, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through establishing effective academic collaborations that promote knowledge exchange.
Both parties emphasized that this agreement marks an important step toward building solid academic relations and expanding future cooperation across various scientific fields, thereby enhancing the quality of higher education in line with sustainable development requirements.
The signing of this agreement comes within the University’s broader vision of openness to distinguished academic institutions and its commitment to strengthening scientific collaboration in a manner that supports the advancement of higher education in Iraq and contributes to achieving sustainable development.
