Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, reviewed a number of research projects and scientific innovations currently being developed at the University’s Artificial Intelligence Center during a field visit aimed at following up on the center’s efforts to develop AI applications and enhance their role in supporting scientific research and technological innovation.
During the visit, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Abadi, Director of the AI Center, presented an overview of the center’s main scientific activities and research programs, along with future plans aimed at expanding the scope of AI applications in academic and technical fields, contributing to strengthening the university’s position in digital innovation and keeping pace with rapid scientific developments.
The University President also met with a number of researchers and specialists working at the center and reviewed models of development projects currently in progress, providing a set of observations and recommendations to help advance these projects and increase their potential to become practical solutions benefiting the educational, technological, and service sectors.
He emphasized that supporting scientific innovation and adopting research initiatives in advanced technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, represents a key pillar of the university’s strategy to develop a research environment that fosters creativity and strengthens the role of academic institutions in generating knowledge and applying it for the benefit of society.
These initiatives also align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) through supporting scientific research and developing knowledge capacities, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through promoting technological innovation and developing digital applications, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), which highlights the importance of scientific and institutional cooperation in supporting sustainable development.
The visit was attended by Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, along with several department heads from the University Presidency.
