The results of the Iraqi National Ranking of Academic Programmes for 2025 have announced that the Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies at the Engineering Technical College has achieved first place among private universities and colleges, and second place nationwide among all Iraqi universities, for the third consecutive year.
The Iraqi National Ranking is one of the evaluation mechanisms adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to assess the performance of academic programmes across Iraqi universities, based on unified indicators and standards applied to all institutions included in the ranking. The Department operates in accordance with the regulatory frameworks and ministerial instructions governing engineering programmes, with ongoing implementation of curriculum updates, academic process organisation, and systematic documentation of academic activities, in line with the requirements of the national ranking and institutional accreditation.
This achievement forms part of the annual evaluation outcomes of academic programmes, which constitute one of the principal indicators used to assess the quality of engineering education at the national level.
