The College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University Ranks First in Iraq for Achieving SDG 16,According to Times Higher Education

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University held an honorary ceremony to celebrate its outstanding achievement of ranking first among public and private Iraqi universities in fulfilling the requirements of Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), according to the latest report by the UK-based Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings.

The ceremony was attended by several university officials, along with representatives from government departments, unions, and supporting organizations, in recognition of their vital contributions to this academic accomplishment.

In his speech during the event, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law, expressed his pride in this achievement, emphasizing that it reflects the dedicated efforts of the college’s academic and administrative staff. He also noted that this milestone is part of a series of continuous successes achieved by Al-Mustaqbal University in general, and the College of Law in particular, in enhancing academic performance and advancing sustainable development goals.
